Angela S. Yee-Maldonado

Angela began her legal career as a criminal defense attorney for indigent clients as a Public Defender for the State of Missouri in Kansas City in 2003 after graduating from St. Louis University School of Law. During this job Angela realized that everyone deserves a zealous advocate for their case in order for our justice system to thrive. Many without a voice or the ability to retain counsel are not guilty and need someone by their side to guide them through the complications of our legal system.

In mid 2005 she returned to her hometown of St. Louis to create and develop The Yee Law Firm, P.C. While developing her own firm, Angela also served as a part-time staff attorney for Legal Advocates for Abused Women in St. Louis and later represented petitioners in Adult Abuse Orders of Protection and Child Ex Parte Orders of Protection.

Angela is a part of the first generation of her family to be born in the United States. The generations of family before her came to the United States with very little and worked tirelessly to provide for their children and future generations. Through the courage and simple principle of hard work of generations before her she gives merit to them and carries out the privilege of being an advocate and attorney with great pride and appreciation of her ancestors.

While the laws here in the United States may not always seem logical or equal there is no place else that has the liberties and freedoms that we appreciate in the United States, in spite of all its failings, it is after all where with zealous advocacy and a voice one can prevail and overcome what may seem like at the time insurmountable odds.
